The readings say you have osteoporosis in your spine and osteopenia in the other areas. Osteopenia means that your bone density is reduced but not at the osteoporosis level. I think you should check the results with your GP as I am sure they would want to update your records. They may offer you a bisphosphonate. There has been a lot of discussion on them on this forum you can check out. It seems you also have a couple of bone fractures, your GP may want to do something about that as well, bone fracturing often happens with osteoporosis. Do you get back pain?

A T score of -1 to +1 is considered normal bone density.

A T score of -1 to -2.5 indicates osteopenia (low bone density).

A T score of -2.5 or lower is bone density low enough to be categorized as osteoporosis.

The assessment is that you have osteoporosis and are at a high risk of fracture because of the results for the spine - and you do already have spinal fractures so you could expect to have more. Your hip reading is fairly good though.

As piglette asks, do you have back pain?

Sorry forgot to add had lot of back pain on and off a few years ago but it settled down thank goodness. I have reduced from 17-5mg to 16mg over the last 33days and the last 3 days I have been feeling pretty poorly as I have a flare up of diverticulitis at moment but taking nothing only rest for it 😫 suffering bad with Extreme Fatigue and nausea on and off at the moment 🤔can you give me any advice on what I should do ie; stay where I am or go back up 🚦😩

Is the nausea associated with the diverticulitis do you think? If you felt good at 17.5mg I would go back and try a smaller drop next time - did you use a slowed taper or did you drop from 17.5 to 16 from one day to the next?

No nausea is with reduction. I reduced from 17-5mg for 21days and then to 16mg for other 12days 🤔

Were you OK at 16.25?

At 16-25mg I had no body pain just blurred eyes /nauseous/bit light headed / and feeling jettery inside and still have these symptoms . But have extreme fatigue for hour or two in afternoon. Thank you for taking the time to respond 🙏
