It was at least mentioned in a vaccine thread earlier, a couple of weeks ago maybe? And I've replied to someone about it in the last 2 days.
The study it is based on was in children receiving their shots - MMR and the like. In fact, what was found that there was a very slight reduction in the development of antibodies when paracetamol (Tylenol) or brufen were given before the immunisation but it was very small and not statistically significant. There was none if they were taken after the procedure. And there was no difference in the result after the booster/second shot was given.
So some doctors are recommending that any painkillers are reserved until at least 4 hours after the short is administered. But they are all saying, if you have bad side effects after the jab, take some paracetamol, it's fine.
Sadly I needed to take my regular paracetamol before my vaccination or I couldn’t have got there due to my old spinal fracture pain.
