Tocilizumab extension due to pandemic

Hi has anyone heard anything about a further extension past the 12 months for tocilizumab for GCA due to the pandemic. I should have finished in November but had an extension to April but have not heard anything since

I started TCZ in March 2020 and my Rheumatologist is applying for an extension until April - every little helps, I suppose, but the pandemic isn't over yet.

I'll let you know if I hear of any further extension.

Yes I will contact them next week, last year when I got the extension the letter came from government, quite concerned that I’ve heard nothing yet and as you say the pandemic is far from over

Commenced TCZ January ‘20 but At my last rheumatology appointment It was extended until June because of pandemic.

That’s great to hear. My consultant appointment due in March has been cancelled before Christmas, I am not sure what the plan is as by April I could be potentially off pred and tocilizumab with no conversation on how I will be monitored.Hopefully I might get some answers from the rheumatology nurse
