First of all a big thank you to PMRGCAuk for setting this up, and most especially to Dr Mackie for giving us her time and the benefits of her research and experience. It was great to get topical advice about the Covid vaccination (don’t increase your steroid dose) and the definition of adrenal insufficiency as opposed to a flare or other conditions masked up to that point by Pred. If you get the chance to see a recording or pick up her clarification and advice it’s really worth it. 👏🏻

Dr Sarah Mackie Webinar Adrenals
Thank you Thelmarina. We've had great feedback from last night and are glad that so many people were able to join us and Dr Mackie for the session.
We are looking at producing a series of webinars for our members throughout the year. We will post details closer to the time.

Is it possible to watch it after the event?
Hi Devoid, it is available for members of the charity for a limited time (2 weeks). If you're a member, message me with your membership number (don't post it here in the main forum for security reasons) and I can get the link across to you. If you're not a member you could join and receive it too pmrgca.org.uk/how-to-help/b...

Hi Fran. I did as you suggested and joined but it said it would take 3 weeks to process my application so am no further forward in listening to the webinar. Wanted to listen before I go to endocrinologist week after next. ☹️
I would like to add my thanks to Dr. Mackie for a clear and informative talk, and also to everyone involved in setting things up.
Yes I listened to it too and it was extremely informative ... massive thanks to Sarah Mackie for her time and sharing her knowledge
It was really great wasn't it, both enjoyable and informative. I had thought previously that 7 mg of cortisol was the normal amount that circulated in ones blood so I was worried about tapering below 7. I'm now very nearly down to 7.5. Now I know it's 4 that's given me more confidence in tapering down to that level. I'm having my Covid jab on Friday so it was good to hear her recommendations on that too.
I’ve just tapered to 7.5mg so like you found the info useful. Had my jab yesterday, just a little bit tired with a touch of low back pain so v pleased to have had it!
