Pain in left Arm: Harrywogan here with a question... - PMRGCAuk
Pain in left Arm
What sort of painful left arm? Is it the same as your original PMR pain? Or is there anything else going on? Pain referring into the left arm should really always be checked out in case it is heart related.
Thanks but I know pmr related
Are you left handed Harry?
Hi SJ iam not left handed I have a friend who has Pmr and she has same problem she can hardly lift kettle doc gave her a gel to help .x
And does it help? I never found any of the NSAID gels did more than take the edge off muscle pain of that sort. And you must be careful using them together with pred.
I have had left arm pain from simply leaning on the sofa arm. It always worries me because it can be a warning of a heart attack. I think our muscles are very sensitive.
Mmmm - but does depend on the sort and position of the pain - leaning on the arm of the sofa is more likely to cause trapped nerve pain, often the ulnar which is easily trapped in the shoulder or at the elbow by leaning on it the wrong way.
I have had a lot of pain in my right arm which the doc thought was bursitis in my shoulder. He gave me a steroid injection in the shoulder which rapidly worked wonders. I still have a little pain in my arm when I twist it but all my other PMR pains have completely gone, for the past week at any rate ...
