Dry mouth and other sensations

Hi Further to yest's post re itching on scalp, now random from feet, abdomen to neck and scalp. Also, notwithstanding drinking, mouth is very dry. Yest. evening the most weird was a strong pain Mum felt middle of back and at the same time, same position on front of torso, lasted circa 2 hrs.

Any input re dry mouth and the weird pain description ?

You have spoken to a doctor I hope? Concurrent chest and back pain should always be taken seriously - there is a range of things that can cause it but chest pain must be suspected to be cardiac in origin until proven otherwise. If it isn't cardiac, then the itching could be associated with it.

Really you should have called 999 - and yes, I know that is the last thing you want to do but sometimes needs must ...

ok thanks! We discussed it, took some steps and then waited bit by which time seemed to be getting back to normal. Calling GP now.

As PMRpro has said, chest/back pain needs urgent investigation.

I'm not sure that the itching and dry mouth would be connected but this should be mentioned to doctor as symptoms may be due to to anything as simple as dry skin to a liver/kidney issue.

Thanks. GP no time to respond back, but sent message to Rheumatology and will try GP again next week.

I had antihistamine and Betnovate cream from GP for itching and now use Avenocream everyday

I use the one with oats - less scent - my grandson had it for excema
