Does anyone have any idea if the COVID vaccines which may soon be approved will be compatible with taking pred?

Vaccine query
This has been discussed at length - just type in “Covid vaccine” into search box to bring up previous posts.
Thank you
Someone put on Facebook the other day that their immune system is compromised and would it be wise to have the Covid vaccine that is a weakened one, unlike the regular flu jab we have every year, that's a dead vaccine. A reply came back saying she'd heard that a trial is going on for a dead Covid vaccine for those that have compromised immunes. Have to wait and see. I can't say that I'm that enamoured about having even a weakened jab where there is a possibility of being ill, particularly since I suffer asthma too.
Very probably - not that different from the flu jab ...
That information will come out in the JCVI (Joint Committee on Vaccines and Immunisation) after their meeting to discuss recommendations and use of the vaccine based on the Pfizer and BioNtech data approved by the MHRA this morning. We should know by Friday. I expect that immunocompromised patients (like those of us on pred), will be included in the vulnerable and at risk groups to receive the vaccine. WHen we get it will depend on the supply, as front line workers and those over 80 will be the first to be given the 20 million doses the UK gov has in stock (40 million but 2 doses required for protection).
