Painful feet

I have just been reading some older posts about painful feet. I am down to 7mg Pred and suddenly (within a week) my feet are so painful I can hardly walk by the evening. What I would like to know is this likely to go away once the PMR is better? I can't bear the thought of not being able to walk my dog, it's one of my greatest pleasures in life. Sorry to moan but I can't moan to my husband any more!!!!!!!

Moan away, that’s what this is for. Where exactly is the pain in the feet? What makes it worse and what makes it better? Is the pain in one place or does it travel?

Thank you for replying. It started in 1 toe and now the only way I describe it is it is all the bones and sinews of my feet.🙀

Sounds like the foot pain I had. I felt as if I was walking in a mixture of pebbles, sharp stones and broken glass and that my feet were crammed into shoes about 2 sizes too small. I know quite a few with similar complaints. Mine was worst on standing after sitting for a while and did hurt a bit less once I got walking. The best solution was really solid supportive shoes - my Meindl hill walking shoes were wonderful!!

Thank you for that advice, I have a pair of Skechers trainers with arch supports and Birkenstock sandals which are both reasonably comfortable but the Meindl boots look like exactly what I need for the winter..... great, I’ll try them.
