IBS +PMR

My first symptoms started about 5 yrs ago with numb swollen feet, hands and legs. I was diagnosed with PMR, after a flare in Jan. 2019. Was able to quit Prednisone Feb 1., 2020. I seem to be doing well. My swelling in hands, feet and legs has been doing well also....one odd thing, for the last 6 weeks I have been experiencing IBS, and am spending my time close to home and lot of time in my bathroom. I wonder if it is connected with the healing process. I did read that Lymph fluid leaves the body through urine and feces. Has anyone else had this experience? Is it a good thing?

Glad to hear things are on an even keel again. Really, any change in bowel habit should be looked at by a doc. Make a food/bowel habit (frequency, consistency, colour and pain) chart so check for a pattern and also it saves time in the diagnostic process if you can say you’ve already checked for food problems.

The lymphatic system is a network of tissues and organs that help rid the body of toxins, waste and other unwanted materials. A sort of body’s sewage system.

As Snazzy says, any change in bowel habit needs to be investigated by your GP, especially if it is keeping you from going out, that is extreme.

This might help you report back to the GP:
