Donations from USA/Canada/Australia etc

We get quite a few queries about how international forum members can make donations to the charity. Firstly, thank you to all of you who donate or join the charity, without you we wouldn't have this forum, our magazine, website, support groups, be able to campaign, run webinars, provide a helpline and so on - we rely almost solely on the generosity of donors (as well as a few grants to support some projects).

It doesn't matter the size of the donation as every single £ and $ adds up and together with the help of lots of volunteers we are able to support so many people with PMR and/or GCA.

So how do you make a donation? Simply go to our website pmrgca.co.uk/content/home-page and click on the donate button in the top right corner which will take you to a Money Giving page and you can either make a one-off donation or set up a monthly donation.

That is funny! I tried to figure out how to donate. Found the spot to click on but it the funds are in Euros. Plus will my Visa work online with the charge in another country and different monetary system. LOL Not sure how to handle that.

That's what international banking is all about. We use our credit cards online in the US, UK and mainland Europe - the exchange rate is calculated automatically by the bank when you choose to pay in local currency.

Yes as PMRPro said, the credit card handles the conversion so that we receive the money in UK£.
