Prednisone side effect?

Was on prednisone for a week for an inflammation in left side of my head. Am now off it. But I observed my temple area on my right has swollen up after chewing hard food. Is this side effect of prednisone? It’s been a week that am off of it. Did anyone experience such a side effect? Does it cause swelling and water retention even after a week?

Doubt it's a side effect of Pred., but I think you need to speak to doctor (know you have MRI scheduled) but this need some attention soonest.

Good, let us know outcome please.

Sounds like more GCA than Prednisone. Each side at the top of my head is tender to touch and has been while on high strength Pred 40 mg and still there on 11 mg. I will mention this to my rheumy when I see him soon.
