Am still at high dose 30 mg. Rheumatologist wants me to go to 25 if I taper by 1 mg ever 4-5 days is that easier on the system then five right away ? Same result in a month or is it psychological?

Hi

It may well be easier and could help with steroid withdrawal symptoms. All you can do is give it a go!

I will give it a go I am so sensitive to any kind of withdrawal I thought I’ll try this even if it is psychological!! Thanks DL

I favoured smaller steps to smooth out the withdrawal. 5mg drops at that dose level was too much like hard work with withdrawal for me.

You only find out when you try.

2.5mg over 2 weeks and then another 2.5 over 2 weeks does it too. And by not going from every day one dose to every day the new dose is a big difference.

I’ll try 2mg. Good compromise
