I seem to remember from previous posts that neither of these is uncommon

Pred can cause irritation to the bladder so it feels like one needs to see more. I needed to keep my wee very dilute by drinking lots of water. I also the found the same effect with calcium supplements. However, it may mean you have an infection. Do you have any other symptoms other than just needing to see a lot? When you do wee, is it reasonable amounts or less than you were expecting?

That’s likely Pred. I meant bladder symptoms.

Just frequent urinating urgently

How much are you drinking?

Have you been checked for a bladder infection?

Athena2020 profile image
Athena2020 in reply toSnazzyD

Yes I did a urine text for infection. I really do not drink to much other than coffee about 3 cups a day snd one glass water

SnazzyD profile image
SnazzyD in reply toAthena2020

That’s probably not enough if you mean a standard mug and small glass of about 250ml each. If you’re really not a happy drinker, start by drinking a glass of water for every cup of coffee you drink. You do need to try to dilute that urine.

What type was the test for infection?

Most important to drink lots of water to keep hydrated 2/3 pints per day to keep urine diluted. Add half tspn bicarb helps. Coffee will irritate. I'm prone to urine infections so know the score.

Do you feel fatigue sometimes ?

It can come with both having an autoimmune condition and taking Pred, as can infections. Have you had your urine checked for infection?

I read somewhere on the net that K2 supplement helps the skin. I take it and my skin is pretty good.

Yes to the urine frequency. Think it a bladder irritation from the extra calcium. Tests always come up negative

I have been taking vit K2 for a long time, but unfortunately it made no difference, I believe you can getK2 in a cream for the skin haven’t tried that, it’s very expensive I had a few pots of various creams from dr suggestions, but alas nothing has worked good luck proberbly a manic wand is needed
