Interesting- this study seems to conclude inflammation more than steroids reduce bone mass

pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/936...

suggesting it's better to keep on steroids than to put up with inflammation?

Then again this study reckons steroids above 5mg pred is bad for losing bone.. but under 5mg may be OK? pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/956...

I just didnt get mine..I do not want to know... but I feel yours will be good:)

My BMD was bad , but I had it after being o pred for 10 weeks..due to the time to wait to get the scan!..and then they said it was the pred, but it could easily have been the prior inflammation (or the prior PPI). Havn't had one since (that was Feb 2017).

Last time the radiographer showed us the results at the time. My husband has to go back to the rehab/osteoporosis specialist at our local hospital and I have to take him - so she will ask me about my result too!!! She wanted to do something last time with t-scores of better than -1.5 so this is 3 or 4 years down the line, bound to have gone down a bit.

Let's know how it goes..maybe you will prove that minimizing inflammation helps BMD!

Yes interesting but it’s a small study and is 23 years old, current research may have a lot to add.
