Solid extended stomach.

Anyone else suffering from a stomach that looks as if it doesn’t belong to them. That’s what I have. It’s uncomfortable especially when I have eaten. Also when I lay down I have a lump (approx. 2”) poke out on my right side within the pelvic area. It goes down quite quickly. But comes back throughout the night. Could this be due to PMR or should I be exploring other health issues I have?

Without a doubt you need to have a medical opinion as this isn’t obviously a PMR feature. PMR or Pred may not be helping but you do need have all other diagnoses explored. Good luck.

Thanks for that. I need to eliminate the pmr factor first.

Hi Keeptalking

Definitely one for the GP - a hernia springs to mind but you MUST get it checked, not over the phone but a Face to Face Consultation.

Let us know how you get on.

I do hope that’s all it is. Am speaking with the doctor tomorrow who will hopefully ask to see me. Well that’s what the receptionist said. Thanks for your comments.

Thanks everyone. I have got CLL leukaemia too so I have also my haematology team I can contact if I don’t get attention from my GP. Although she has been very good up to now. Also check out with the CLLers at HU. I am forever trying to separate out what belongs where.

Here's a rule of thumb:

When your body is doing something new and interesting, and you don't like it, it's time to seek professional help.

I agree, a friend of mine who is a GP says anything new, any change to what is normal for you, needs to be investigated
