With PMR would you expect to have rheumatic pain in you fingers wrists elbows in short if it has a joint it’s sore and inflexible, after I take my Preds 6 morning 6 evening it will easy away. Just waking now it’s very noticeable. I’m used to the normal but over the last few weeks even my knees are swelling and can go from very painful to 10 minutes later no pain and back, I am very confused and frustrated. Just a worn out 62 year old man or more PMR. Any one had this? It would be nice to know what’s going on.

My suspicion would be that this may not be PMR because what you describe is much more like an inflammatory arthritis. There is one form called palindromic rheumatism which comes and goes in joints and the attacks can last minutes or days just to confuse things! Pred will help will many different causes of inflammation so that is no proof it is due to PMR.
I think Constance is right - you need to speak to your doctor, preferably a rheumy.
