Pleased to say that the cancer 'diagnosis' from my GP was incorrect and further investigations have shown no sign of cancer. Thank you for all the advice and support offered. Now to switch my mindset back to PMR (without cancer).
PMR and Cancer: Pleased to say that the cancer... - PMRGCAuk
PMR and Cancer
That is really good news. You must be relieved! Now you can just get on and get better. 🌷
Excellent - hope they learn that you DON'T say cancer until they KNOW it is ...
Me too! Conversation to be had tomorrow.
We were there 26 years ago - a massive shadown on a chest x-ray, the radiologist told OH's colleague to line up her heavy guns including the oncologist. She looked horrified but as the radiologist said "what else could it be?" But the oncologist was the last person to be called in - they worked their way through the most approapriate specialists: best chest guy for broncoscopy, showed nothing, best guy for biopsy to find out WHAT it was. THEN they said cancer. We knew it would be - but we didn't have needless worry.
good news
Excellent! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I will never forget the day I turned up at the cancer unit in Bangor with my overnight bag ready for the first batch of chemo'. I had a meeting with the team in the morning and told that it had been down graded from 3a to 2 and treatment not required at this time.
We had just lost over four thousand pounds on a holiday that my consultant heaemotologist advised us to cancel but it still felt like Xmas. Congratulations,I have some idea of your relief.
Best news!
