Now super cortisol support

I am finding it difficult to taper down from 7mg of prednisolone and have been see-sawing between 7.5 and 7 for several months. A friend recommended that I try Now super cortisol support (adrenal support) which might help. I would appreciate advice from anyone who has tried these capsules. I take my pred between 3 and 4 am and also wonder if I should stick with this timetable?

I can only quote the official view: there is NOTHING in the diet or in the form of supplements that will make any diffence to adrenal function. The claims are marketing, nothing more nor less.

Why can't you taper from 7.5mg? If it the PMR that returns? If it is, you have to be patient and wait for the underlying cause to die down. You aren't reducing relentlessly to zero pred, you are looking for the lowest dose that gives the same result as the starting dose did. If that happens to be 7.5mg, that is where you need to wait for a bit.

You really are top treacle! 😀 How many times have I seen you patiently give the same information ‘You aren't reducing relentlessly to zero pred, you are looking for the lowest dose that gives the same result as the starting dose’. What would we do without you? 👍

Had a quick look at the key ingredients and could not find how they will affect the adrenal glands directly. Don’t forget the production of cortisol is at the end of a chain of events and if any of those bits are below par, the gland won’t work. Anyway, 7.5mg is still a bit too much for any of the adrenal system to think that it needs to work because it doesn’t need too. My opinion is that the adrenal glands need to learn to work on their own without stimulants (if they exist over the counter) because they might not be able to do without them because the normal system hasn’t worked under normal conditions.

When you reduce from 7.5-7mg how do you do it? I was wondering if the use of the word seesaw
