i have pmr in lower legs does anyone else have this

What exactly do you mean by that? I had foot pain and hip and thigh pain but wouldn't say specifically lower legs - and since I have been on pred none at all.

i wake up with pain and stiffness in the calf of both legs and have weakness, making it difficult to walk since taking 15 mg of prednisolone daily it seems to have resolved

But not specifically a cramp in the calf muscles after walking a short distance that then goes when you stop walking only to return when you walk again?

What type of pain in your legs? Bit more information please, ie

Is it constant or does it just come on when you are being active, ie walking etc. And when you stop and rest it subsides?

If the latter it sound like leg claudication, this pain occurs because PMR impairs the supply of oxygen to your muscles.

One of the main reasons we also say, take exercise it is essential, but do not push it or overdo it.

It can be a sign of Large Cell Vasculitis in the lower extremities if it is as Jinasc describes - increasing when you walk about 100 yards. You need to signpost this with your doctor. The treatment would be more Pred.
