Hi,

See you posted about hip /leg pain a couple of months ago - is this an escalation of that... or did it go away and then return?

PMRpro gave some good advice then, so won’t add to it other than to say, if you think it’s PMR, a few days at 10mg might help - and then drop back down to 7mg.Jf it’s not PMR then maybe ordinary painkillers might help.

Are you sure it isn't sciatic pain? That can happen as a result of tight low back muscles - and that can happen in PMR.

Hi, i gave not git amy back pain. I had sciatica once 33 years ago

You don;t have to have much back pain - the back muscles get tight and pinch the sciatic nerve.

I have PMR and had very bad right leg/knee pain especially in bed and was not able to sleep with it, I did some research and found if you put a pillow below your thighs it eases the pain. I have been using a pillow this way ever since and it definitely works, eases the pain and allows for a good nights sleep. Hope this helps.

Thanks, its a bit better this morning but still not able to put much weight on it. Just spoke to my daughter in law who is a nurse, she suggest rest for a further 24 hours taking pain killers and keep moving my leg around while I'm sat or lay down if no better off to A& E in the morning
