CV19 and GCA

I havn't seen any posts yet on fatality rates for people on Immune suppressants.! I'm not trying to be morbid, but I would have hoped that the Chinese, and possibly the Italian authorities have statistics on fatalities for people in our category. I think I must be high risk since I have had GCA for nearly 8 yrs, am on 9mg pred pd, and am male, 73. I am self isolating and even washing everything that comes in the house that could have been touched, coughed, sneezed on. Fruit, veg, all packages, bottles etc, etc. I walk on streets almost empty for exercise, but am aware my wife could bring the infection home either by being infected or hand /clothes contact. We get through a bar of soap a week.!! I am assuming our group would be well above the 5-8% rate which presently applies to 70+, 80+ yo. I have looked at the Vasculitis CV19 site, but it fails to mention this rather touchy subject. I also have a little emphysema, but stopped smoking 6 yrs ago, but have had 2 bouts of Pneumonia in the past 2 years. I have almost convinced myself, if infected, the games up.!! However, not feeling depressed, since 'que sera sera'. All the best to everyone.

I don't think specific conditions are included but if they have identified at risk groups then I suspect there's a reason for that. At the moment age with underlying health conditions including heart, lung diabetes etc seem as high risk. I think the chances of specific data being available for PMR GCA etc is going to take a while yet.
