Am I at risk😢

Hi all,

Should I be self isolating?

I’m unable to get below 12.5mg preds, I tried tapering a few days ago but couldn’t deal with the returning pains so went back to 12.5!

Are we vulnerable to the Coronavirus being on Preds?

How vulnerable are we?? I have not got any problems other than PMR!

😥😥😥

We are all more vulnerable than most. Due to age, autoimmune disease and being on an immunosuppressant. Social distancing and hand washing are the basics - but I am very biased, I live in Italy.

PMRpro has answered, but have a look through previous posts for more info - we’ve had plenty over the last few days.

Use covid-19 to search, you'll find lots.

We should all consider ourselves at elevated risk as we have an autoimmune condition.

Regardless of what level of pred we're currently taking, something about our immune system isn't working right, or wasn't working right until the very recent past.

No matter where you live, no one needs you getting sick WITH ANYTHING right now, and putting further pressure on medical services. Avoid becoming a victim and/or a vector. FOR ANYTHING.

Lay in supplies of food and medicine, keep washing your hands, stop touching your face (and your hair), stay 6 feet (2 meters) away from others, stay off public transit, stay out of crowds and closed spaces, make Jazz Hands or the Queen's Wave to say Hello, make contact with others electronically.

It's really up to all the people to stop this thing in its tracks. Government can only do so much. We need to be responsible to and for ourselves and to and for each other.
