To bring you up to date. I saw the doc yesterday, took in a stool sample today, have a blood test tomorrow. So will soon(!) learn what I have or have not got. He does not think it is anything to do with PMR.
I am vegan so normally eat lots of fruit, not recommended with the 'trots', my emergency diet was to avoid making things worse. Feel much better today. Arranging an appointment is not easy when you might need to rush to the loo anytime. At least living on my own, the toilet is always available. I will let you know what the conclusion is but it seems to be something going round the area.
Best wishes to those in a much worse condition than I am. I know I am one of the lucky ones.

Good luck Dawnint. I had similar problems earlier in the year. So far they think it was a viral infection that has caused ibs and I had about 3 to 4 months of really bad stomach. Just about settled. 🌻
I am having tests for a similar thing and my gp doesnt think its anything to do with pmr either. Only prob i have is when ever i need the loo either my husband is in there or my 7 yearold grandson suddenly needs it urgently, so i end up doing the "loo dance" outside the door!!
I agree!! Especially when outside the bathroom. Every house we have lived in before has always had a separate one but this one hasnt. Strange though this is the house i feel the most happy in!!
No, prefer my tiddly flat and 2 loos ... I thought all Germans had 2: one in the bathroom and one by the front door! Ours are en-suite (that caused some amazement here, knew about them in hotels but for a private home????) and the communal bathroom - the flat was designed for holiday use with several sharing.
Last comment - that it surely why you have two loos. Unusual in small flats.
Our flat is massive but the entrance is quite narrow - no room for a loo there. The corridor outside the flat is wide and long (having been a clinic before) no way of spreading out in that direction.
We chose the lay-out, for family use but an en-suite meant the other bedroom needed a bathroom too. Ours aren't by the door - but in a big flat there is room for a loo somewhere, they don't need much space!
Believe it or not - there isn't. Each room goes into another room. When they made the clinic into flats they weren't allowed to change the corridors or entrance into the building, therefore we have a very impressive foyer and wide staircases.
Surely there could be a loo next to the bathroom? They don't have to be far apart, just the option for bathroom and separate loo to be in use simulataneously!
Also not possible. The passage there is at its narrowest, bathroom and bedroom are in a separate, closed area.
Also, because of the clinics corridors and the odd rooms and treatment areas there isn't one square room in the place - all the walls are slanted.
I can't remember where we lived with only one toilet and I was a bit concerned when we moved in but we bought a camping toilet 'just in case'. We've lived here for nearly two years now and it has never been used.😊
We built a tiny bathroom in a closet that couldn’t have been bigger than 5 x3 feet. The builder found a toilet with a triangular tank so fit in a corner. Asked one of my taller sons to sit on a toilet and have his wife measure from his rear to his knees, so I’d know the door would shut. 😁. Family laugh for a good while. It worked.
