cataract surgery lenses

Hello again, and thank you for all your input re this process, now I have to decide, how much I have to pay for the 2 lenses suggested by surgeon, I am in ontario, and ohip benefits have apparently changed since a few years ago, so I am told by surgeon, the lowest out of pocket lens, at $225 would do, but he has learned some of these lenses have developed spots after a while on lens??, next level is $545 which he recommends for me, says will be a better choice, from there goes up to the thousands, which of course are simply not an option financially, even the $545 will be hard for me, especially this time of year, so anyone out there ever had the lens where spots developed on the lens for you, ? so far have heard onlly positive things about the cataract surgery and lens placement from you all which is great, but don,t know which lenses you chose, and of course only canada or in ontario would have these same costs, thank you,

Over time all lenses pick up impurities and tend to go a little cloudy. This generally does not affect vision and can be easily sorted by a simple laser burst. I have had this done(after I had had the lenses 25 years) and it was simple and painless

Hope this helps

I had mine done nearly eight years ago when living in France. I paid about 850 euros for the pair of varifocal lenses. I've just had an eye test and the optician said all is very good, sight and lenses. So good luck with yours...just wait until you see the world in all its glorious colours.
