Good article from Hospital Healthcare Europe. Nothing, earth shattering or ground breaking, but I found it interesting.

"This site is intended for healthcare professionals only" - seems a shame a few more have not read, marked, learned and inwardly digested it!

It probably would be earth shaking for the kind of doctor who dismisses a patient who doesn't have the splitting headache but has all the other symptoms including visual disturbance and as a result of improper care loses eyesight.

Don't know whether to laugh or cry! At least someone knows what the problem is. What I need is a solution, nearly 3 years in still on probably GCA and dire side effects, steroid sparers haven't worked. Pleased to see the mention of unintended weight loss as a symptom. I lost about a stone and a half in the year running up to sore head symptom. There is such a pressure to lose weight these days, but if you are not trying to diet alarm bells should ring!

Thanks for the link.

Thanks, v. interesting article - unless one has had or still has GCA, it is difficult for anyone to understand what a major impact it has on ones life and for such a long time, and how unwell one can feel.
