Re my previous post with DH asking ( during a horrible flare up) if I could see my way clear to cutting the grass.. He is on holiday this week. He is the proud owner of a small sailing dinghy ( very proud,😉) . It’s fair to say, it’s not my thing, indeed root canal filling looks more alluring than a trip on his boat. However, having taken Marriage vowes a tad too seriously at the time, I agreed to two days and an overnighter, on boat. I upped Pred to 10 mg from 9mg ( I know you shouldn’t but I did) this enables me to get up and down the steps, to throw ropes about, to stagger around boat and ropes without falling over ( or in ) . I just needed a good undignified push from behind to get on the thing. Praise be for Prednisolone!

There is ( unbelievable , but true) some life with PMR
Golly! You must be on better stuff than I am.
I hope that you are very pleased with yourself and enjoyed your Captain’s mate duties.
Love boats...but wouldn`t dare try and go aboard...sure I would miss...so clumsy on pred!...well done you!...
😂😂😂 but glad you managed it.
The Precious Princess I have mentioned before got off pred for a few months but PMR came back. She had cancelled a holiday earlier because of PMR and had rebooked it to a date just as she went back onto pred! She did it - her rheumy told her not to worry about the dose but take what she needed - and had a whale of a time. Earlier this year she got married again (to her partner of 19 years) and her new husband decided to try sailing at their new home near Portsmouth. Two weeks ago PP also did a course!!
Sounds great fun and the sea air will do you a world of good.
I’m just glad your OH is still in one piece and able to go sailing after his, er, rather unfortunate remark about the grass cutting a few days ago! 😉
I love that you did this and l think it fine to have upped the dose! Sailing is the one thing I really miss in life. OH OH OH. I am jealous. Hope you find you like it more and more. It is perhaps my favorite thing! We had a 23' sailboat named Demelza!
