hi everyone, I spoke to receptionist about my ? flare or bit of both after having my mum stay for 10 days. she left a message for my gp and I got a call the next morning. I was mean't to drop to 10mg a day but she advised to stay at 12.5mg and to have a blood test one weeks time. so I am quite happy about this.
I must admit I was exhausted when mum went home, she is not very mobile.
I am a terrible sleeper, but after mum went home I nearly slept solid for 20 hours, a very rare thing for me.
I thought I had already posted this message the other day but can't find it. is this what we call pred brain.
hope everyone keeping as well as can be and pain free x

Thanks for the update dillydally1.20 hours sleep! The body needs what it needs. Take care.
Hi dillydally...it's amazing how we can often push ourselves but then our brains and bodies say sorry and flop out. I reckon 20hrs is what they wanted and needed. Hopefully you can slowly come round and ensure pred at the right level.🌻
That is a very good response from your GP & a good way forward.
Obviously, you need to think of a better way to manage when your Mum comes to stay, think about it when you feel a bit better & put a plan in action.
I’m only just learning that l need to come first & l’m sticking to it, my fellow Moderator YBB may not agree 😉
We have our Granddaughter to visit & l usually spend a couple of hours playing with her on the bed, as it’s less tiring for me & when she takes a nap, l can rest too! She loves it & thinks it’s great fun.
I know you can’t do that with your Mum but you need to find a way to look after you & have Mum to stay.
yes I think I will try to make a plan next time, not sure what I can change, both my husband and I don't drive so it makes it harder to organize maybe a trip out. unfortunately my husband isn't to well either, maybe next time mum comes over, I will make it a shorter time. thank you MrsN x
