I know I am awkward, but I am wondering who keeps the money if more than 60 entries as total prize money is £300 with a £5 entry fee.

How do they raise the money for PMR GCA UK, do you get a sum of money for each entry?

Have you read the ninevoices website? ninevoices.wordpress.com/gc... is a page on their website devoted to raising awareness of the needs of this small charity.

ninevoices are nine writers and poets who have been working together for a long time. They have been very generous with PMRGCAuk twice before raising very much needed funds so the charity can maintain support for those with the conditions. One member of the 9 has had GCA for many years.

Most writing groups offer competitions for up and coming writers. Groups aim to cover the cost of the prizes with the entries that are made but if they don't it the nine individuals, who are not a business, will have to pay the prize themselves.

They are just a group like us with a special interest. If they make a profit that will be the donation PMRGCAuk receives. If they don't cover their costs then they won't be able to donate. I am hoping thousands of budding writers enter They did last time and we were very appreciative of their efforts!

Thank you for the explanation, I only followed the link you posted and was unaware of a website as I had never heard of them at all.
