Shortage of Prednisone in France

I have just read on another site that there is a shortage of supply in France and doctors are being told to limit the supply.

Is this Europewide anyone know.

Not heard anything about it in the U.K.

I haven’t heard anything about Pred being in short supply but 3 of my heart medications have become unavailable. Doctor and pharmacists trying to find alternatives. Really scary.

I am in south-west France for the summer and a few weeks ago was told by the local pharmacist that they had no prednisolone at all and were waiting for supplies, which could be in a month’s time.

I haven’t been back to check because I went back to the UK and got 3 months supply from my GP. I am happy to make enquiries if it will help.

I am in Spain but am concerned that if France has a problem has Spain? Where are they manufactured that’s the rub.
