This is the crochet that I mentioned in my previous post - it's about 6" square. Since we seem to keep ending up with manky dishcloths and it's not easy finding biodegradable ones I thought may be I could make dishcloths. I'd be more likely to actually finish something small, it wouldn't matter too much how well they were done and it wouldn't been any more taxing than playing on my phone!
Turns out I was wrong wasn't I π
I thought too it would be more fun if they were nice colours not boring beige or white so I bought a bag of rainbow coloured cotton. I think the next ones will be plain though. I don't really want to put the rainbow one in dirty greasy water. I think my arms will get stronger if I carry on and rest more often.

Look at it as exercise that you have to build up to! OH did the stairs this morning - something he probably hasn't done since December - and wondered why he was puffed! We live on the second floor (European) and there is a lift. But it didn't occur to him to just do one floor's worth to start with...
Oh I do know where you are coming from! I had an awful year about 6 years ago and thought it would never improve. My lovely GP kept telling me it would - she was right but it didn't feel like it at the time!
If I do more but single colours I can try to be very strict with myself and do just one row at a time. The temptation with going round was to keep going until I'd finished a colour and, of course, each round was a bit longer than the previous one!
I woke up feeling bright and cheerful the other day (one of the recent beautiful mornings), did some housework and washed two loads of laundry and had lunch. Then I collapsed on the sofa until 6.30. I'd kind of forgotten that I had PMR/GCA but they reminded me in a very forceful way. On the crafts front, I recently knitted 24 bright orange baby hats for a hospital appeal - they wanted orange hats to identify the babies with special needs. I didn't have any leftover orange yarn, so emailed my daughter in Manchester to see if she had any. She emailed back 'yarn in post', but instead of the odds and ends I expected, she'd ordered me 500 gms of 4 ply soft cotton from one of the eBay sellers. I've got 2 gms left and I am never knitting anything in that colour again - think high-vis jackets or belisha beacons.
