running with PMR

as a marathon/half marathon runner, avid tennis player my sudden onset of PMR Nov /18 was a major shock to the system...and my life. I am on tapering doses of prednisone and am now able to walk (very slowly) 3 miles a day. Any advice is welcomed.

On your other comment you asked about getting back to running. You may find this man's story helpful:

There are some ladies on the forums who have continued to play tennis!

So sorry to hear about about your life change. I understand and nothing (except breast ca) has impacted my life like PMR. There is hope. I don’t know how much pred you are on, but after almost 8 months of down to 5 mg a day, I have been able to adjust it down to 1 mg. Sometimes 2 a day. My doctor gave be 1 mg pills to use as I need it. I am back exercising almost to where I was a year ago. I have not been able to quit totally, but I feel good.
