What's next?

I just got over a bout with diverticulitis. I have my follow up appointment today. I had my annual mammogram a week ago Monday. Then got a call to come in for an ultra sound. I did that yesterday. I now have an appointment for biopsies in 3 places on May 3rd. I have always been reasonably healthy. Now I seem to be falling apart.

I think I’ve been to doctors appointments more in the last year than I have in my whole life. It used to be once a year whether I needed it or not!

Oh dear. Is this your third health issue recently (not incl pmr). Hopefully, no more than the three issues and hope that they are just being hypervigilant. Good luck🌻🌻🌻

Thank you! I really hope this is it for awhile!

I can relate to how you r feeling. Before PMR, my GP would say that if I called for an appointment, he was sure the world needed to get ready for the apocalypse. That's how seldom saw him. In fact, I just has my first physical last July and I was 69 yrs old. In the past year and some months I have seen so many doctors I have lost count. Frozen shoulder, bursitis, Lyme disease, UTI, diverticulitis, etc I am feeling like my health and my life are out of control. I am trying really hard to keep it together. We appear to be in a cycle that we don't understand. Keep the faith. There is and d to this tunnel

Sorry to hear about the latest news you’ve had. It’s good though that they are being vigilant about all areas although sometimes it feels, I think, that we are juggling and trying to keep all the balls in the air! All the very best for your tests- let us know how you get on.

Good luck with the biopsies.

Have they told you if you need any special preparations for it to keep from having a PMR flare ?

Get lots of rest and relaxation over the next few days , and try to be as comfortable as you can. Hard I know with diverticulitis , you don't know what to eat or how to sit.

A wheat bag to keep the lower back or lower stomach warm helps with the pain.

Lots of rest and fluids afterwards to and try to keep your mind off things , you don't want to add stress into the mix.

Fingers crossed over here and take care xx
