I am a Canadian follower and I love this site, Lots of great info. I read about a meeting in ChristChurch yesterday and was envious I was not there. This morning I get up and read of a terrible shooting attack. It is just on our radio now. What a dreadful thing. Our thoughts and prayers are sent from my little corner of the world Canada. What is this world coming to!

Not the same Christchurch - but obviously the New Zealand city is named after the UK town, so us Dorset folk do have an affinity to it.

Plus my daughter only lives about 70km from this beautiful NZ city - fortunately when I woke this morning had a text to say all the family were safe.

I think the Kiwis are in a state of shock, they never expected anything to happen like this in their beautiful- and supposedly safe - islands. 🇳🇿

This is very sad,l am shocked that this has happened in Christchurch New Zealand,such a beautiful and peaceful place,it seems that there are very few places in the world now that are unlikely to suffer terror attacks.My thoughts and prayers go out to the loved ones of those who have died,and to the people of New Zealand .
