Body hair

Just read the posts on hair loss and wonder if others have lost body hair. My underarm hair has been non existent for over a year. Saves me doing anything about it!

We’ve got to have some benefits 😉 l’ve had Chemo too so that’s impacted on body hair too especially underarms & legs.

And, of course my head! 💁🏻‍♀️

Yep, lost all my underarm hair - still gone almost 2 & half years after stopping Pred! Legs occasionally need a bit of attention, but not like previously!

As MrsNails rightly says - some benefits 😏

I didn't realise properly (pred head) until Christmas when I was going to wear a sleeveless dress and thought "oh where's that gone then"!!!

I still have a bit of leg hair but not a lot. I am one of the 10% that has abdominal hair - all gone. Inner upper thigh hair, all gone. Underarm air - all gone. Lovely!

OTOH - some people complain eyebrows and eyelashes thin, not me, eyebrows are better than for years!! My eyelashes are getting silly thick...

What weird creatures we all are, I sometimes wonder if we started with our hair on our heads and worked down, with all our PM R symptoms, pred side affects,....what a frightening list it would be!!😱

So strange - and my eyebrows are better too, filling in better - I have them shaped and the lady thinks it's all down to her waxing! I won't put her wise. Hope my lashes do the same as yours. Ah just realised - that's where the hair has gone then!

Yes, I'm the same, no underarm hair - one chore less! Also I never did have much hair on my legs, but now they're completely hairless.

Hair all over my face. Growing in long and brown. The rest of the body hair has stopped growing. Saving $$ on hair cuts and razors. Lol

Yep, nothing left of underarm or leg hairs. Smooth as a baby's bottom!

Hasn't affected my eyebrows though, they still grow at a rate of knots

Same here. Underarm hair gone. Leg hair almost totally gone.

Body hair reduced by loads, facial hair increased and hair on head has plenty of breakages!

Yes I have lost underarm and leg hair don’t mind that though saves shaving it off .

Hi. Same here no leg or underarm hair (4years on Pred) but noticed some stray/ wispy bits returning when I got into single figures with Pred. 🤗

I have had very little body hair for years before I got PMR. My only complaint was my disappearing eyebrows. However Pred caused a regrowth. Great to have eyebrows again, not so keen on the sideburns! 😂
