News flash.....major study finds doctors are not listening to patients about drug withdrawal symptoms and too fast tapering, sound familiar?

Last paragraph is interesting - just replace the noun “ psychiatrists” with “ doctors in general”.

Think that describes the tapering debacles we read about on here more times than we should.

It's frightening , but also scary how little it surprises me now.

Nobody really understands until they get their own invisible illness how sick it makes you feel trying to get better .

Amazing that it finally takes 2 medics who have been there, done that, worn the T-shirt, to contradict the ‘theory of withdrawal’. No matter that hundreds of thousands have probably been singing from this same hymn sheet for years.

There preaching to the choir sister , as the saying goes.

Many of us could say , been there , done that , have at least two t-shirts.

Is doctors not listening and still doing what they feel like really still a big shocker these days?

Well not for any of us living with GCA/ PMR and trying to cope with the " New Normal"

I love that the researchers visited online forums where patients were helping each other. When it works it works. 😊

Yes , thank goodness for informed patients on online forums because informed doctors are hard to find.
