Well, I’m right behind you at 55. It’s not too bad. I like reaching a stage where so many things I thought were important no longer impress me much.

You’re probably a ton of fun to be around and wise!

Happy Birthday month 😊

My dad, nephew and daughter were all born on 29 March. We did a family tree and many of our ancestors shared that Birthday. What can it mean? 57 sounds young to me, enjoy it!

Hello Vicky,

The idea is to post your birthday in the birthday discussion thread, not in a separate post! Thanks

Ooops, but thanks for not deleting ability to reply!! If I decide I even want to celebrate my next birthday (auspicious occasion preferably forgotten!) then I will definitely use the birthday discussion thread - if I can work out how. Told you it was an auspicious occasion!!.

Oh Linny, no it's not...I'm due to be 72 in April and for me 70 was wonderful...a glorious excuse to say..."no I can't do that I'm too old"... or "what the hell, I'm 70 now and can do what I want..."

How does that song go..."accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative and latch on to the alternative, and don't go for mister in between... (or something like that...) at 70+who cares...! ;-)

The best time of my life was 54 I learned to say no .Found confidence I never had before . Became more of the person I should have been , Took on BSL sign language and learned that ,after lifetime of living in the shadow of Oh I can't do that ect awful jobs and some good ones over time ,not like my clever career driven sister who never failed to make sure I knew how clever she was .Mind you she didnt have to look after mother because I did it stressed out and worked too maybe thats what caused the PMR ,you know what I am not sorry I did it .I am glad now ,I have no recriminations and its in the past .You have reached the age of guilt free entitlement ,done the mortgage ,rent kids ,grandkids now , Love it love it love it .The weight came off my shoulders Embrace it Love it .You are you and you are very much entitled to be . Its a fabulous age .
