Hi! To all of my pmr friends, who encouraged me to get into my rheumy sooner than May 10th, I say thank you, thank you , thank you!! I called the doctor this morning, pled my story step by step (and when the assistant read back her notes, I corrected her) and now.....I have an appointment with my new rheumy next month!!

Thank you for your encouragement!

Good for you. It's frustrating that many of us have to face the extra stress of a fight before we get help x

Great News 💐 Take it steady until then x

Good luck. Hope you get sorted asap. I cant understand why you are not already started on pred. But hopefully you will be feeling better soon.

It was my primary care doctor that diagnosed me and referred me to the rheumatologist. I believe the reason my appointment was so far out us because the rheumy was not given every detail. When I called rheumy's office yesterday and gave a full detail of my symptoms, within a couple of hours they had moved my appointment forward. I think when a medical center has too many assistants for one doctor, things get lost in translation.

At least now, I have a light at the end of the tunnel! 😁👌

Well done for persevering. I hope you get the medication you need in an adequate dose, so you can start your long recovery.
