Has this come on suddenly today? If it has, it sounds like the beginnings of a high fever.

UTI for 10 days. on last of anti. This has happen so many times over the 16 yrs. But now it feels out of control since no more pain meds. Just writing about it makes me wonder if the UTI sent it in a tell spin.

I used to notice that the back of my bum and thighs was cold - I felt cold and the skin was cold too.

But as Snazzy says - if it is sudden then it could be the sign of developing a fever.

Perhaps still a left-over of that? Have you asked your doctor who was supervising the coming off morphine?

Everything could be working against you.

Your UTI can cause this , there is also the possibility that you have a kidney infection.

The infections could have caused an extra payload of pain from your withdrawal from morphine.

Your Pred dose also seems to have been swinging up and down like a pirate ship at the playground.

You may have only been on higher doses for short times , which doesn't usually cause the same side effects as a taper after months of a particular dose , but with your lowered immune system and everything else you may be suffering some sort of adrenal or nutrient deficiency that can cause deficiencies in your pain and temperature regulation.

You really need to see your GP again , ask for urine tests and blood tests to rule out infection or deficiency issues , and ask about making adjustments in your pain medication again.

Hope you feel better soon, Bee xx
