Visit to Podiatrist

I just went to the Podiatrist to complain about/find reason for, my 'fuzzy' feet. He blamed it on the PMR and said there was no loss of sensation in the places where it mattered. So no worries there. He's done a beautiful job on my far from beautiful toe nails!!! I'm very pleased with him. According to him PMR causes these foot problems, something I did not know before. So an altogether satisfactory visit.

I have heard about 2 rheumies who look at feet when making the PMR diagnosis. And my chiropodist commented how much improved my feet were after a year or so of pred - after 5 years of PMR they had not been a pleasant sight!!!

Interesting! Perhaps mine would be much worse if I was not on Pred!

That’s my New Year resolution. To see a Podiatrist. My feet and nails are in an awful state due to Psoriasis. I was told that I didn’t have Arthritic Psoriasis, but I sometimes wonder. Having two honest children in the house has made me realise my efforts are not enough. It’s a shame I have nice little feet, always wore sensible shoes now this!

I too have psoriasis on my feet and they are not a pretty sight. I have always worn sensible shoes because my feet have always been a non-standard width and getting shoes that are comfortable has been a challenge. I only wore wedges, kitten heels or flat shoes in my younger days and always wide enough at the toe. I'm proud to say that in all of my 67 years I have never had a corn or a seg. I only wear flat shoes now. I think I would fall off even a kitten heel these days

Me neither - never from shoes, except the corn that developed because of standing wrong because of PMR! On the ball of my foot, over a bone,

That must have been really painful. I don't envy you that in the least.

O don't! You're making my eyes water! I'd be in dire straits because I can't stand anyone touching my feet.

I don't mind someone touching MY feet - thoughts of things happening to other people's feet makes me cringe...

It is strange that feeling, I have it too. I was talking to a dentist about how horrible it must be looking in people’s mouths, he said the worst thing was the smell of BO!

And the thought of someone ‘sucking/kissing’ them is beyond my belief!!!!!
