Visit to Dentist Required!

This morning my OH broke a tooth. In an effort to one up him, I broke a tooth this afternoon. I am assuming his fix is routine, but wonder if I need to do anything special to prepare for my visit. Is extra pred a good idea?

Our dentist's SIL has PMR as well so at least he knows what PMR is!

I've broken a couple of teeth on prednisone. Didn't do anything special before seeing the dentist. Good luck.

I have taken an extra milligram for intensive dental work for that extra support. Good luck! I am seeing my dentist today because a crown came out, I have no idea if it can be saved. Fingers crossed.

I went through the extraction of a wisdom tooth and fitting of a ceramic inlay without any problems at all or additional pred. I also take anticoagulants and was scared stiff over the extraction - the dentist was totally "No problem..."! He was right - I didn't bleed much either!

Wow! The moment my dentist knew I had GCA/PMR he said any extractions would have to be at the hospital!

It seems to be a British thing. When I asked at the hospital how to go about seeing someone there they looked at me as if I had 2 heads!!!
