On Tuesday, I had a replacement filling in a back tooth. The old filling had cracked so something had to be done, but there was no pain. Now, I have pulsating toothache, from first thought this morning. Paracetamol isn't touching it. Is this normal for a PMR person?

Toothache after a filling
Hello, from the sounds of it you may now a bit of infection in there or the nerve has been upset by a bit of inflammation from the procedure. I’ve had fillings where the tooth has hurt for a few days after but the fact that you had good days then pain suggests you ought to speak to the dentist.
It maybe just a reaction to all the pushing and pressing. See if it settles before going back to your dentist. We are quite delicate flowers with this. 🌺
I have a friend who had the same problem a few weeks ago she went back to the dentist and thier was no infection but the filling was pressing on a nerve that caused the pain.
Dentist packed it and it was ok .
She was going yesterday to have it refilled .
Is it normal for a PMR person - in a word, NO. We aren't really special cases, it needs to be checked out.
