Winter is a-coming! Time for me to semi-hibernate!!

WINTERππππ
What a lovely view Constance. Is that your outlook?
Yes, from all our windows. What is also lovely, and relating to my βtitleβ, is that we live in a Spa - village. The thermal baths, with swimming pool, saunas from 40 degs to 120!!! (120 degs would kill me)π), hot pools, massages. physiotherapy, etc etc are l00 metres away. Pain clinic - 100 metres. So I can waddle up to there and have all ny excercise INDOORS.πππ
Looks like Paradise Constance.
I agree wholeheartedly!
Where is it? I am coming to stay.
Any time! Bad Sassendorf.
Itβs great all year round, Spring and Winter, uninterrupted view of the Spa gardens, springs, pools, fountains, bridges, beautiful flowers - beautifully kept and no work for us!ππ. Autumn, the changing colours, Summer βblocked outβ by trees (itβs like living in the middle of a forrest)!!
Still spring temps here - though not a lot of sun. The grass is still growing!
Totally mad, isnβt it? It was 17 degs a couple of days ago. So far in Nov itβs been between 12 and 17 degs. Itβs Kirmes in Soest. When I think we used to freeze our socks off in deep snow waiting for the kids to get off the rides. Weβve had a minimal amount of rain for months and months. Germany is desperate for water in many places and yet, in other parts of the world there is flooding.
Looks and sounds divine! What a truly healing place to reside. So glad you get to enjoy all of the seasons there.
Hi, For me it is relief, since GCA and Pred I can't cope with the heat, out across the fields with the dog this morning fresh and cool and relief from the hot flushes. Enjoy your hibernation I think I am a polar bear.
OOh! I got bloated, although not fat, but struggle to lose weight, I am same size as I was before the Pred and the bloating has gone. I suppose I save money on coats and heating.
I wonder if it is metabolism before we get ill.
I want to move in too! Now that itβs cold in NY and Iβm down to 2 mg Pred I have stiffness in my pinky which I broke several years ago. Maybe arthritis sneaked in!
Arthritis does sneak in with PMR it seems. Mine started about 2 years after PMR diagnosis. After so long the PMR doesnβt affect me as much as the OA, which unfortunately gets much worse with age, Iβm 79 - sometimes I feel much younger, sometimes much older.ππ.
,
Itβs quite a laugh really! I expected people to talk about how they were going to hibernate - what they intended to do in the winter months, etc etc, but most just commented on my view, etc.
