Pred head etc. X I will still forget, I bet.

Put your clocks back this Sunday UK folk ,
Hello neighbour across the pond, my clocks are more intelligent and can put themselves fore and backwards. 🌅 🕕😴
WOW! Already????? Where did this year go??????
They say we had a great summer! Where, were we?
I remember being hot.... and then the leaves started falling off the trees?
I remember being hot, the leaves falling off the trees and still being hot!
Hehehehehehehe
You are live!
Just about to eat Grunge’s vegetarian Lasagne. Made with chestnuts. To die for. X
Thanks, I won't forget, I'll have two angry pussy cats me-owing for an hour for their din dins 1. (breakfast)
Thanks! I never would have known. US does not change for another couple weeks and I am safely and soundly in Sweden. !! I shall turn them back on Sunday. Although being here means I do not need to worry about dates or times. The life of Riley! Flight was not bad and my chest pain is nearly gone unless I sneeze or cough..neither of which I intend to do! Thanks for the reminder.
Thank you for the reminder.. I think it's the same day here in Spain when they put the time back...... Hate it!
I hate it since my babies were small and nobody told them about it.
Thanks for the reminder Jane.
Having felt relatively so much better recently (Phew..), I'm ambitiously thinking about putting my clock back 3 years, 8 months, 2 weeks and 4 days. My body clock, that is, to the 'time' I vaguely remember pre-my PMR Journey... :-D. I had a 'Lightbulb' moment today: I'm coming up for age 62 next March, and realised that a third of my Life is over already :-(.
Keep Positive All, and brace yourselves (in the UK at least) for the combined shock of the impending much shorter days and colder weather to come. Oh well, we've had a pretty good Summer here and it is nearly November after all. Next..? Yep, Christmas (the merchandise is in the shops already - Yo Ho Bl**dy Ho?), New Year 2019, Brexit, and, er, oh, no, better stop there. Bah Humbug? What, Me? Of course not....
On, and Forwards - try to keep smiling on the Journey.
'Uncle' MB
I NEEDED xmas crackers this week - THEY weren't in the shops in Scotland: "Not until after Halloween..."
NEEDing xmas crackers in the last week of October PMRpro (but not getting them)? For once, I think the Scots have got it right,
Halloween was always big in Scotland. I remember the witches and skeletons streaming out of the houses.🧙🏻♀️🧟♂️🧛🏼♂️
I preferred Scottish Guising - the name of which pre-dated Halloween by many many years! Nothing to do with "Trick or treat" - the bairns had to perform a poem/dance or miniplay in order to earn their reward. Once trick or treat appeared I retreated to the back of the house with all the front lights off...
Blimey Mark 186 years is a hell of a target! Good luck mate! You go for it! Have to admire the balls.
Well Pd, you have to start somewhere.. ;-). If I don't make the magic 186, I'm going for the option of being cryogenically preserved in Marmite in the meantime (a bit like Max Bygraves?)
You either loved or hated him!!!! Or is that another Story!
🤣 Hands🎼 I wanna tell you a story!
I found him a bit creepy and everybody else I found creepy has been caught. Sorry to his fans.
Creepy TV hosts too in those days! Anything really changing though! Rock On & take the moments.
Hughie Green! To name a few.
Now you be careful Jane naming names! Interestingly Hughie Green used to mean something different in my youth!!
What about "Take your Pick" & the "Yes..No.."interlude! Bong!!
I won’t ask you to elaborate. Crackerjack was a bit odd too with what’s his name?
Leslie Crowther is the one I remember although I think Eamon Andrews and others did it too. They used to get kids to hold cabbages if I remember, I never really understood why.
No kids would eat them so they had to do something with them!!!
'Lemme tell you a Stooorrry...'
Spot on! Captured the accent there Mark... Never forgotten the marvellous "Pink Toothbrush" song! myself! What a charmer old big head was!
Thanks and Yep PD, the famous entertainer MB (strange co-incidence with the initials?!) was quite a Music Hall (and later TV) 'Act' for several decades. Musical, humorous and engaging with all sorts of audiences. A bit Corny maybe, but Defo not ever Creepy (as far as I know).
The last I heard of the late MB (Max Bygraves) was that he lived in Bournemouth in his later years at a magnificent house at the top of one of the (now crumbling) Chines.
If you lived on Mercury or Venus you could do it. space-facts.com/orbital-per...
I didn’t realise that you hadn’t been well. I miss entire threads and even PMs. Hope you are feeling lots better. My Rolling Stones concert made me feel a lot happier about the march of time. You have all your own hair and have kept your physique and Mick is 75 and by golly he’s still got it. “ I’ve got the moves like Jagger”. That can be your mantra.
Don't worry Jane. By 'feeling so much better..' I mean after 3-ish years of the ups an downs of PMR etc. Yep, I have all my own hair, teeth and, er, some kind of physique still. It's amazing what you can do with Photoshop nowadays ;-).
As for Sir Mick / The Stones: rock on...! x
Thankyou for reminding me Jane,l had not even given it a thought ,the extra hour will be nice in the morning.
I am pleased that you are feeling much better Mark, long may it continue, you never know with PMR,but lthink that after three years, eight months ,two weeks and four days, you have had enough of it,and at sixty two, well you are still in your prime compared to me at seventy four! I do not feel that old in my head, sad really,l just do not have the energy to go with it.Don’t forget to make sure that bear knows the clocks are going back,he would probably sulk for a week if he was deprived of an extra hour in bed.l am not looking forward to long dark evenings, and it will not do the garden much good when the frost appears,it will need another make over in the spring.Christmas does brighten things up but seems to start earlier each year ,it started about three weeks ago in the shops here.2019,Brexit! To be or not to be ? Sometimes l dread to think what might be around the corner, anyway,as long as the Pred.,is still available.....All the best Mark, have a nice weekend.
Thanks Grants, fingers crossed and 'we'll see' - as always.
Well, yes: like you, and even at a ripe 62 (quite a surprise - Ha!), I really don't feel my age. More like 22.. (as if, again -Ha!). I think the main thing is (regardless of chronological age?) to try to keep a spirit of 'Business as Usual' and enjoyment of / purpose in Life from day to day - until or unless we can't? Of course, the ageing process slows us all down (aside from the ravages of illness like PMR / GCA / other health conditions). But I guess this is the ultimate challenge: i.e. to know ourselves, be realistic, and manage the process as best we can?
Yep, clocks going back tonight. And.. suddenly much colder in the UK - brace yourself. But to quote the ancient proverb: 'This, Too, Will Pass'. Food for thought..? As for Brexit? No... don't go there!
As for Tedski? I might even let him sleep indoors tonight - so long as he cooks me a good- old Boeuf Stroganoff....
Have a good weekend too - and try to keep smiling on the Journey

This may be the last time we put our clocks back in U.K. as the EU want to abolish the hour change and we will probably have to as well.
Be great fun on the Irish Border ☘️ if the U.K. are on GMT/BST & the EU are on CET! ⏰
Most countries in the EU aren't at the same time as Dublin and they seem to manage business - the UK is an hour different from everywhere this side of the channel. When we first travelled over here, over 40 years ago, Italy was a different time from Switzerland despite the common border. And I think the east side of the EU had different times for a long time. Think the time difference may be the least of their worries!!
I used to work for a multi national company, head office was in California so we used to have tele meetings with them when they got in. I had a boss who did not seem to realise time varied across the world he would happily phone me up from Japan when he was there and it was 3am in the morning with me, he was French on the other hand.
We have a way of finding out who all the Canadians are in a room full of people from all over the world. Just announce the time and add "and a half hour later in Newfoundland" and all the Canadians will laugh.
All under review again - they have realised that in winter it will be dark in the west until past coffee time. In the northern lands it will be nearer lunchtime...
I hate the clocks going back. I have SAD and it really doesn't help. I'm not really awake in the mornings anyway so don't mind it being darker then. I remember when they experimented with leaving them on BST all winter - it was still ligh when I got home, lovely. I enjoy the extra hour in bed though!
I hate the long dark evenings,l do not want to wish my life away but January cannot come quickly enough, then at least the days are gradually getting longer and the Spring will be on its way. Thanks for your reply Mark,22, well good for you, enjoy life while you can,as you say we have to make the most of things while we are able.Oh and it really is cold outside, quite a shock after the lovely warm spell, time to get the woolly jumpers out for that furry companion of yours.
I asked Tedski to 'put the clock back' on the Limo. He disappeared for about an hour and returned triumphantly saying: "Meestaire Boss, I put your clock back - by 20,000 miles. That should add about 5 grand to its value when you sell it!". Oh dear....
