Good morning everyone,
I hope it’s ok to post this. It’s not directly related to PMR but is a lovely article on how to age well both inside and out. The illustrations also made me smile as they are typical of me with PMR

Ha. I just scratched my back and now trying to stand on one leg!!
Interesting article - so many of them now contradict each other, don't they? - especially with regard to diet. We are all different.
Hi Miserere... so true. It’s not a case of one size fits all and we have to find what works for us. I like the ´wholeness’ and generally positive feel of the article, especially the use of words such as wisdom and insight’ in relation to ageing.
Well yes, but “moderate exercise for a minimum of 150 minutes a week, or 75 minutes of vigorous exercise," is a bit of a taunt to some of us! I wish!
I like this, thanks for sharing, but I was upset when the physiotherapist in this year's AGM started his talk by saying if you can't balance on one leg it knocks 7 years off your life! Talking to an audience of PMR people whose average age was 70 and many not that mobile - didn't exactly cheer me up! I don't think he thought of his audience. My new year resolutions were more fish, fibre and fun so I'm glad they're all advocated as helping as we grow old
Update, I re-watched the recording and it was Hector Chinoy who said that, not the physiotherapist. and... drum roll ... I tried standing on one leg and just about managed 10 seconds on each foot! So am feeling more hopeful. In fact these litttle wins like being able to scratch my own back and balance on one leg and give myslef a shoulder hug have really boosted me.
