Strange - the one in the car is by far the simplest! I even change it when in the UK!

Mine is a nightmare. I have to go through twelve hours as it will not go backwards, if I go too fast it is twenty four hours. I must admit I have been known to leave it for six months, more than once!

More than once have I reset the clock radio which is supposed to wake me up with music only to have it go off at 6:45 pm instead of am.

Gosh, I never change it , if I did now I would confuse myself.

You don’t mean you actually READ instructions manuals? It really would be the last thing I would do, so just spend hours trying to get things to work. I should have been a rheumatologist, they don’t seem to read things either.

Probably the most true fact I have seen today!

Very clever Piglette , I bow to your satire

Not so much satirical more jaundiced!

Love it, it's about time we stopped fiddling about with the clocks.

That is true about the cooker piglette,l have never managed to get the correct time on mine, although the previous one was easy ,l constantly look at the cooker clock and have to reduce the time be about thirty five minutes, untill the clocks go forward again l shall have to take another hour off as well !

piglette in reply to Grants148

I did attempt mine today, it did take a while!

I just press the button that hides the display...

lt also seems to lose time as well,so it is safer to look at another clock really.

When my Great Grandma had started to go a bit , ' fruit the loop ' , when I was little I remember visiting her and my Dad looking at her clocks and asking if she wanted him to put her clocks back for her.

She shouted in from the kitchen , " I've done it!"

My Dad looked again, clocks all wrong , he was puzzled , when she came in from the kitchen he said, " Are you sure Nana they look the same to me "

She angrily put down the tea tray with a clank on the sofa , scuttled over and grabbed the carriage clock from the mantle piece and said, " Yes, you ******, I took it from there and put it there!!"

( slamming it at the front then two inches back!)

And triumphantly plonked herself down in her chair, we didn't say anything , and my Dad sneekily went round the house changing the times , and did so every year until she passed away .

From that day to this , over the generations now , whenever someone says will you put the clocks back , we say yes and we pick them up and move them .

Ahh, happy memories , thanks Piglette. Now you know where my madness comes from!

Have a lovely extra hour , hope we never lose the change I will miss it.

I hate the cooker. I just told it so. Its sulking now. There are 6 buttons and it keeps beeping like a whinging spoilt horrid thing. Parker is on it but it really doesn't like him either. In 5 more days I've told it I will get the instructions out if it does not comply. Then who will be sorry!!!!

Grants148 profile image
Grants148

l have to admit mine scares me,the instructions just are not at all clear, not to me anyway !lt is now showing the time as 21.06,the actual time is 7.25.l intend to ignore it,and l certainly will not be using the timer ,even more confusing.

piglette profile image
piglette in reply to Grants148

Don’t talk about the timer, that is even more frightening. I have never been able to use a timer on any of my cookers over at least forty years. I wonder if there is a course. The trouble is all the cooker’s timers would be different.
