A feather in your caps folks!

At last a GP who is up to speed with PMR. Maybe my usual GP understands but doesn't communicate in the easiest way. Today's doctor...suspect she was a registrar and I like 'em...asked all the right questions and explained what I already know. Such a comfort. And all down to this Forum and the knowledgeable folk who tirelessly interact with us.

My query was whether I should stay or taper from 5.5mg. and whether my present challenges are due to PMR or adrenals (I didn't really expect to be given an answer to that, rather to talk it through). Her first question set the scene absolutely correctly....what dose were you on when the current symptoms started?....and her second question asked how I feel today. Result is I am staying at 5.5mg. Interestingly she used the statement so often repeated here about getting to the lowest dose that deals with PMR and she also said that 'quality of life' is also important.

So a big thank you to the good people here who give us the information which enable constructive conversations with the professionals.

Not, I fear, if she is a registrar. But should still be there when I need to discuss the next step.
