Just to say you don't have to go on holiday to see lovely sights like this. Taken yesterday at West Wittering in sunny Sussex, and it was warm!

Not on holiday
What a beautiful view, I could just go for a paddle. Fair lifts your spirits.
It looks like a Summer's day. Thanks, it really cheered me up.
Lovely! I know that area well. My son is getting married in Birdham in June, so will be there then!
Lovely,
I just can’t get enough of a sea view! Good job I only live about 9 miles from nearest beach. The sea state is different every day, and almost from hour to hour!
Don’t know about a Viking perhaps I should have been a mermaid!
They always seem to have blond hair......
Well I did until I was about two & half, then it turned darker like my older brothers and sister. My mum was a bit miffed, because she thought because I’d stayed blonde longer I was going to stay that way!
No disrespect - but I don’t see myself as a dizzy blonde! But nowadays who knows! 👱🏼♀️ Or🧑🏻 Or even 👩🎤
That's funny, you don't come across as "blond". Me niether come to that.
No, I’m a sensible brunette with redheaded tendencies (short fuse in younger days, still occasionally surfaces).
My late hubby was a true redhead, so made for interesting life! As my kids will testify!
They’re both brunette (with a sprinkling of grey) but the red-headedness does also appear. 🤣😂
Isnt it funny ' mine was very blonde until I was about 7 then in a year it went very dark brown ,Same with my sons .They were the same blonde to almost black it was so dark . Blonde husband though so I expected them to stay blonde .Nope!
Lovely photo. I live a short distance along the same coast and yesterday was T-shirt weather.
Lovely,my niece lives in Sussex and is often posting beautiful pictures on Facebook .They certainly cheer me up,the sea looks so calm in your photo and you are very fortunate to live in such a lovely area.
Actually live about 10 miles away but we are lucky between the coast and the South Downs.
I love West Wittering👍😎
If I look at that lovely pic long enough, I can 'see' the waves building up and spilling over. I come from a large coastal city, SA and always loved the sea, beach and swimming.
Can't you hear it too?
Yes. As children, we would collect sea shells, hold them to our ears, and thought it was the sea we could hear! Our main beach is called King's Beach after King George dipped his big toe in it, when the Royal family came to SA in 1947.
Wonderful! That's the nearest I've been to the sea in years. I can feel the sandy water between my toes!
Pleasure to be of service sir! It's been a long time for me too, we may live quite near but can't stand the crowds in the summer, and then there's a pebble bank to negotiate which I haven't been up to for quite a while.
Same here , although we only live a mile from the seafront we hardly go in season now as it's too crowded. Always used to when family were younger - nice to walk along the front though when it is less crowded with the sea air blowing away the cobwebs - we have the longest pier in the world at sunny Southend on Sea.
Lovely blue sky and sea. Been to Wittering many times with my children and also my grandchildren. I imagine that yesterday there were not many people around. When I used to go with my now 'grown- up- and- getting old' children we were always stuck in long traffic jams going home. Such a popular place. Another place we used to love going to was Church Norton, near Pagham. We used to park down a little lane near Selsey Church (a very interesting place). Used to do some bird watching there. Tried to get my O.H. to retire to one of the railway coaches on the beach, but being the stick-in-the-mud he is, he refused.
Love Church Norton too but more mud than sand, infact left alone I mould be more likely to go there, fewer people. My sister was driving on Tuesday, she's an East Beach person. I'm so grateful she took me I hadn't been there for YEARS ( the boys were children! )
The Wittering traffic is notorious. On bank holidays it causes queues near us and we are nearly 10 miles away!
Sea was beautiful at Worthing beach yesterday glittering in the warm sunshine; we are lucky to live in such a beautiful county.
Surprising how many of us here seem to live on or near the south coast.
Aww lovely, I was At lancing beach yesterday too weather was glorious , but don’t know how to send pic x lovely part of world x
I just left the sunny south for the rainy north! It’s been wet ever since I arrived in Scotland. The sun appears from time to time but mostly wet. I’m knackered after the journey by train. If I ever do it again I shall have to fly! However it is good to see old friends and familiar places. I’ll recover in a day or so an will thoroughly enjoy myself, rain or no rain.
Beautiful picture, and I like you just love the sea.
