This was on my Facebook news feed yesterday. Thought it was worth sharing here!

Following on from Scats post about the AGM
Don't worry about me. If you read carefully you'll see I didn't really want to go I just wondered how so many seemed to think they would be able to. As it happens it appears most of us know better than to try and only a few are going to try. I hope they manage OK because we should be represented there.
The extract you have found makes a lot of sense but it's not always easy to follow.
Don't worry. I just felt it was relevant to the general discussion that followed.
I agree it would be good if more of us were able to get to the AGM though.
Next time all being well . Struggling with the fatigue at the mo as earlier post I’m more weary than 6 months ago .
I AM going, was putting off buying the ticket in case..,,, and imagining a near empty hall. A risk organisers have to run when putting on a ‘do’ for the likes of us.
My son rang last night, and my luck was in, he has decided to meet friends there for lunch, so now feel a lot happier about getting on and off the train 🚂
I haven’t been on a train to Euston since landing in the North, and after my recent experiences on Southern Network, I’m prepared for anything.
So pleased you are going, we spoke ages ago remember so hopefully will meet up. Weather's changing for Saturday from sunshine to rain - while the meeting is going on I add! The sun is forecast to shine on us afterwards! Think it's worth saying we are all feeling a little nervous about the travel, I'm nearer than anyone and still want it to be over....it will be worth it though, rest afterwards!
Yes, I remember, was going to get in touch with you.
No idea how big this do is, will send you a pm on Fri evening to make sure we meet.
Thanks for weather forecast, I was just going to look it up.
Don’t want too many clothes if it will be hot inside.😅.
Looking forward to Saturday.
Monica
Hi Monica
I couldn't for the life of me recall your name to get in touch and as soon as I saw it....
It is still quite mild, my thermostat is off the scale each and every hour so one minute stripping off then next the shivers...when will it all end.
Think we'll have a good time it will be uplifting for us all no matter how we feel afterwards, can't wait.
Terri x
Oh Terri, don’t know about stripping off on Saturday, don’t think it is that sort of ‘do’🤭🙄
Maybe the members here should wear a "hello, my name is" badge with their health unlocked names so you can find each other. Wish I was coming but it's a bit far from Toronto 😒
And you're ALWAYS allowed to try.
Allowed to try and sometimes succeed...
Allowed to try and sometimes fail...
Allowed to try without fear, without guilt, without hesitation.
If we don't try.... how will we ever know?
I'm a great believer in trying, even if I do end up needing to spend the next day in bed. I did lose a lot of confidence at one time but it's coming back now although there are still some things I wouldn't want to tackle by myself yet.
I hear you! ...and agree! If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try again.
PS - Glad to hear your confidence is coming bacK!!!!! Wooooo Hooooo!
I went to the AGM last year and really enjoyed my self. The formal part of the meeting was done quickly, the speakers were interesting, and there was lots of time to just simply chat to others and have a laugh along the way. Came home with a few new ideas, tips and wrinkles. All in all a good day out with friends I had never met before. I’m hoping to be there on Saturday but not sure as I am struggling with a trapped sciatic nerve and not sure I can cope with a two hour train journey, you’ll know if I do as there will be a welcomeing trumpet fanfare at about ten thirty at KX station. 😁
I hope so too!!!!! I'm bringing my trumpet just in case!
I somehow missed Scats' post, but would have commented if I'd seen it. When I first read about the AGM I thought it sounded impossible to go and not my sort of thing. Then I realised that some people were going to make the effort to attend even though it meant a long, complicated and no doubt exhausting journey. This made me feel very guilty as all I have to do is to walk down the road, hop on a 91 bus and walk for 5 minutes at the other end. I don't even have to pay the bus fare with my precious Freedom Pass. So I am going, although I'm not really an AGM sort of person. Still it will be nice to meet a few people who genuinely understand what I'm going through and probably to pick up a few useful bits of information.
That’s good. I’ve got a bus , 2 trains and a 15 minutes walk. I’m sure I’ll be ok. Fingers crossed.
Super!
