Sitting here with pain in my ribs on the left side. I have it fairly often. What on earth is it.

What a very nice entrance hall! You may well have pulled a muscle from all the lifting you have been doing. I have done it in the past merely carrying too much shopping home, it’s agonising.

I would be happy with a pulled muscle. We certainly carried a lot of heavy boxes. Never again.

An inviting entrance! Can you put your finger on the exact spot or spots? Does it feel like a knife has poked you there?

It hurts when I press on it. I will look up PMRpro suggestion. Thanks for reply.

Indeed, it’ll probably be intercostal muscle strain/spasm or costochondritis, especially if it’s where the ribs join on to the breast bone.

Google costochondritis and see if that fits.

Your new home looks lovely - but not what sprang to mind for me with "period cottage"!!! I grew up in one of those in Herefordshire. England - and it is something that would never appear on my shopping list if we were returning to the UK! Obviously Australian ones are much more practical ;-)

I will google costochondritis thanks. Our house is a Victorian cottage with high ceilings. We have painted, carpets and new curtains. It was restored about 19yrs ago and kitchen, bathroom and sitting rooms were added. People are amazed when they come in as it is very spacious.

That looks very like the early Edwardian (almost Vicotrian!) town house we had in Durham, England. In the UK cottages generally have quite low ceilings - certainly our early Victorian terraced !cottage" in Pity Me has far lower ceilings than the town house we had nearer into town previously. I like them both and love the look of yours - but English country cottages with roses round the door are definitely not me!

Lovely home. I used to get to rib pain all the time but after 2 years it has stopped. Any type of work used to really bother me.i think it got better as I lowered my dose. Now at 6.
