Going back to work

I have been back to work now for 4 weeks and I am coping. Pred reduced to 10 mg, the first few days were hell, I thought I had a relapse. My body soon adjusted and I am only working two days instead of three. The other day I am taking as annual leave. I have arranged with my manageress 2 extra ten minutes break, because of the chronic fatigue. Thank-you all for your support and letting me rant and rave at times.

Hi

Good luck

I had to reduce my hours from 35 to 25 after a flare last year only do 5 days a week .

I managed for a year full time but have to admit less hours are better unfortunately finances mean I have to continue as long as I can .

I know that feeling. I had to borrow money off my sister as I was on half pay for 8 weeks and could not meet the bills. Will pay her back as soon as I am receiving full pay again. Thought I would never go back to work but, thankfully I have.

Just be careful

My company are excellent with support

Unfortunately as far as health benefits are concerned

PIP we don't really meet their requirements only at the very beginning

ESA again we would be considered fit to work and told to go for JSA .

So no better of as the stress of looking for work would do me in more stressful than working

That's really tough, as in the beginning I struggled to get out of bed. Yes it's easier now thanks to the steroids. Hope I can struggle on at work as I don't know how I would cope financially if I had to give up my job.

Good for you!!!!!! I am jealous... I'd love to go back to the Royal Sussex County Hospital and to my volunteer position at The Martlets Hospice, but I am scared to death that I will relapse, or just not be able to handle it and have to leave again. I hate letting people down and disappointing them. : (

Good luck, I hope you continue to get stronger and have more energy and stamina!

Horizon, I’ve just read your post after replying to an earlier message from you. Glad it sounds as though you are getting some helpful support back at work.
